SOLD “Nan” Guilloché Silver Pendant – Levi & Salaman, Birmingham 1925

$70.00

This pendant was reimagined from the curved top of an Art Deco sterling silver grooming brush, crafted in Birmingham in 1925 by Levi & Salaman. Once part of a fine vanity set, the original brush bore the personal engraving “Nan” — a tender remnant of family connection, now preserved as a singular piece of wearable history.

The face retains its crisp guilloché crosshatch pattern framed by a raised oval cartouche, characteristic of interwar silverwork. To ensure strength and longevity, the reverse has been carefully reinforced with clear UV resin, preserving both form and tactility without altering the original surface. The result is a piece that feels remarkably solid in hand while retaining the lightness of its century-old silver shell.
